The turkey bowl has been cancelled due to rain. Many 8th graders are dissappointed because they have been practicing for a couple of weeks now and they have been waiting for this moment ever since they signed up. It is kind of a bummer because almost all the 8th graders wanted to see the Turkey Bowl today but it's postponed.

The Turkey Bowl Is Tommorrow!
At Frost Middle School there is going to be a Turkey Bowl on Wednsday. There are two teams UCLA and USC. I think UCLA has the odd "homeroom" numbers and USC has the even ones. You can go or participate only if you are on grad and if you are not on grad you have to go to the library. I think the event will take up 4th, 5th, and 6th period for the 8th graders.

Wild Fires AGAIN!!!!
The recent wildfires have forced thousands of hard working people to evacuate and leave their homes nit knowing if they will return to an unburned home. The fire started on Friday and it is still burning in Slymar. I think Slymar is a hotspot. Ever since the fires have started there has been higher temperatures and heavy smoke. The smoke was carrying ash and dropping it making it look like snow. Amazingly when the fires that night I smelled them and thought someone was barbqueing.

CIA Says Bin Laden Is Fighting To Survive But Remains a Threat
The head of the CIA says that Osama Bin Laden appears to be isolated from Al Queda he is putting most of his energy just to survive and everyone knows it. He has been injured by recent missle attacks from unmaned drones from the U.S. and it's allies around the
Afghanistan-Pakistan border. The CIA says taking him prisoner or killing him would be a major blow to the terrosits group.

Send Food To The Troops
In my school leadership is sending long lasting food to the troops in the war. You could send them hard candy, bubble gum, beef jerky, red vines, snack bars, and other foods that last long. You could also donate money to help pay for the shipping but it would be worth it because your supporting the troops. The troops would be very thankful for all of your money ,food, and your support.

Proposition 2
Proposition 2 passed yesterday in California and it's no surprise.Proposition 2 suggests that animals chickens, cows anything that needs to be caged should have space to spread their limbs. I don't see how anyone could vote no on this proposition and if you did........WHATS WRONG WITH YOU???? Supposedly it is supposed to make the animals more tender but you shouldn't vote yes no it just for that you vote yes because it's the right thing to do. Most of you have been squished in one place before and you probably didn't like it so why would you do it to animals? Doesn't make sense.

Obama Is The New President!
Barack Obama is the new president of the United States of America. Last night he beat John McCain by a bunch of electoral votes. Barack Obama had 284 well above the 270 electoral votes needed to win the election. John McCain had 162 elctoral votes even though he started out with the lead. But he decided to win the states with the leats electoral votes. Barack Obama won states with the most electoral votes. Also Barack Obama is the first Africa-American president. Barack Obama said he wants to change the nation and now is his chance. He is the 44th president of America as of January 20th.

As you should know the United States of America is having another presidential elcetion today. Barack Obama and John McCain are running to be America's next president. Barack Obama is a democrat and John McCain is a republican. Obviously they both have very different views. McCain wants to focus on business and Obama is more toward helping the middle class to help boost the economy.More people are voting in this election than before because there is a chance to ahve the first African-American president and many people are excited about that. Do you know who you are voting for? Well if you don't GET THAT CRUD OUT OF YOUR EARS! How can you not caome to a decision on election day? If you don't vote you lose more because you are giving somone else your vote. So get out there and vote!!
